Comments
The comment form asks for your name, email address, comment and, optionally, website. WordPress also records an IP address and browser information for moderation and spam checks. Comments require approval before publication. If approved, your comment and display name can be public; your email address is not displayed in the comment.
When avatars are enabled, Gravatar may receive a hash derived from an email address and serve a profile image. See Automattic’s privacy information for this service.
Cookies and account features
You can choose whether the comment form remembers your details in your browser. WordPress uses cookies for sign-in, account sessions and editor preferences. These account cookies apply when you use those features; they are not required simply to read an article. You can manage cookies in your browser, although blocking them can prevent sign-in.
External links and embedded media
Articles may link to other websites or include externally hosted media. Opening an external website or loading an embed may allow its provider to receive connection information, use cookies or apply its own tracking. That provider’s privacy policy applies to its service. A link or image credit is not an endorsement of its privacy practices.
Storage and access
Information submitted to the site is stored in its WordPress database and may be included in website backups. Hosting systems may record technical access logs for operation and security. Website administrators can access submitted information to manage the site. Comments and their associated records may remain stored unless removed through moderation or a reviewed deletion request.
Your requests
If you have submitted a comment or hold a site account, you can ask about the information associated with it and request an export, correction or deletion. Some records may need to remain for site security, administration or applicable obligations. To help us locate a record, identify the relevant page and comment; do not send passwords or sensitive documents.
